Welcome to our March Intern, Ella May Lankstead

Warmest welcome to our March interns! We ask each intern to briefly introduce themselves.

I am a second-year history and politics student. I am particularly interested in the increasing use of social media in political campaigns and grassroots movements, especially in how this impacts perceptions and engagement. The development of politics and political campaigns through time in an increasingly globalised and digitalised world is fascinating. Discussing the varying negatives and positives of this is important in understanding the world that we, and especially young people, are growing up around. Personally, I grew up as a military kid and lived abroad for much of my life which has greatly influenced my fields and scope of interest. Thank you and looking forward to the next few weeks!
