Welcome to our May Intern, Molly Frances Haines

Warmest welcome to our May interns! We ask each intern to briefly introduce themselves.

Hello! I’m Molly, a student here at MMU in the Digital Society MSc program. My interests are in niche internet subcultures, how social media shapes identity and behavior, and how digital technology intersects with the arts. I am American, so the convergence between digital studies and American politics is also a sector I am interested in, especially in relation to misinformation and online hate groups. My goal is to get people fired up about hot-button issues within the digital/political field and to generate discussions about how technology is changing and shaping our lives and the world around us. I can’t wait to get started, and I hope you’re just as excited to read these posts as I am to write them!
